1.

What do I need to bring to tryouts?

***ADJUSTED DUE TO COVID-19*** Players will be allowed one bag and ask to minimize their belongings as much as possible. Water fountains will not be available for use so we recommend each players bring their own water bottles. (We will not allow the sharing of any water between players). All players should arrive with a mask.

2.

How many players are accepted onto each team?

In order to maximize playing time for all players, each team will typically consist of 10-12 players.

3.

Do I need prior volleyball experience to tryout?

No, we accept players of all skill levels. We field different level teams of each age group and do our best to group players of similar skill level. However, if we do not have a beginning level team for your age group, we will let you know so that you are able to pursue different opportunities.

4.

How are teams sorted at the club volleyball level?

Players are separated into age groups. See above at the Age Definitions for this upcoming 2020-2021 season.

5.

I qualify for the 16 & Under division, am I able to play on an 18's team?

Yes. Players can always play on a team in an older age group, but are not eligible to play in the younger age groups.

6.

How do I know who my coach is going to be?

The coaching staff will be finalized once tryouts have been completed and we can determine the age group and skill level of each team. You will receive an email with your team information prior to having to commit to play for us.

7.

I received an email that I made the team, when do I have to confirm by?

We ask players who have been offered a spot on one of our teams to confirm within 1 week of receiving the email. This is so that we are able to accurately form teams and gives us a chance to reach out to other players in the event you decide not to accept.

8.

When will I know if I made the team?

Typically acceptance emails will be sent within 24-48 hours after our tryouts. If you know you will NOT be accepting the position, we ask that you email as soon as possible to let us know that you will not be joining us. However, if you are still considering other clubs, we ask you email us a confirmation within 1 week. If we do not hear from players within a week, we will assume you are no longer interested in joining us for that season.

9.

What is the difference between a practice team and a travel team?

Practice teams will not attend any tournaments. Occasionally, we will form practice teams for players who are unable to financially commit to a travel team and/or are not able to attend a majority of the tournament dates. The practice team will practice 2-3 times per week for 2 hours. A travel team will attend all local tournaments as well as designated qualifying tournaments based on the individual team. In addition, travel teams will attend the end of the season National Championships.
